Short answer: be very wary of anyone who offers to change, upgrade or "secure" your national service posting for money. Postings, validations and payments should be handled through the official National Service channels, not through individuals on WhatsApp or Facebook.
How these scams work
- "I can move you to a better posting" in exchange for a MoMo payment.
- Fake links asking you to "re-validate" and enter your details.
- People posing as officials asking for your PIN or login.
How to protect yourself
- Use only the official National Service portal and published channels.
- Never share your login, PIN or one-time codes.
- Do not pay individuals for postings or validation.
- Check any number that contacts you about your posting.
