Police, Immigration, Fire and Prisons Recruitment: How to Tell a Real Portal From a Fake One

Short answer: recruitment into the Ghana Police, Prisons, Fire and Immigration Services now runs through one official site, the Centralised Services E-Recruitment Portal (C-SERP), announced by the Ministry of the Interior, and only when an exercise is officially opened. Any link, WhatsApp "shortlist" or person offering a place for money outside that process is fake.

Last checked: 22 October 2026. No new security services recruitment has been announced since the 2025/26 exercise.

How official recruitment works

  • The Ministry of the Interior or the service announces the exercise in the news and on its official pages, with dates.
  • For 2025/26, applications ran from 17 November to 19 December 2025 on the C-SERP portal (cserpgh.com), with a form fee paid through official channels.
  • Shortlisted applicants then sat aptitude tests and screening, with results on the same portal.
  • The Ghana Armed Forces recruits separately and announced in 2026 that it does not use middlemen or charge beyond the official application cost.
  • GES teacher recruitment is free, and GES has warned against anyone selling appointment letters.

Signs of a fake recruitment

  • A link shared on WhatsApp or Facebook when no exercise has been announced in the news.
  • A website that is not the one named in the official announcement.
  • "Protocol" places, guaranteed enlistment or appointment letters for sale.
  • Payment to a personal MoMo number.
  • Requests for your Ghana Card number and photos "to be shortlisted" by someone you do not know.

Before you apply or pay

  1. Confirm the exercise is real in major news outlets and on the service's official pages.
  2. Type the portal address from the official announcement yourself.
  3. Pay only the official form fee through the official channel.
  4. Check any number that offers "help" on TrustCheck.
