Short answer: buy university application vouchers or forms only through the channels the university lists on its own admissions website: usually the online portal, named banks or an official MoMo shortcode. Vouchers sold by strangers on WhatsApp are often used, fake or overpriced, and "guaranteed admission" offers are scams.
Last checked: 22 October 2026. The University of Ghana's 2026/2027 undergraduate admissions are open on admissions.ug.edu.gh. Dates for 2027/2028 have not been announced.
Where to buy admission forms
- University of Ghana: admissions.ug.edu.gh
- Other universities: open the university's own website (ending in .edu.gh) and follow the "Admissions" link to see where vouchers are sold.
- Pay the official fee only, through the bank, MoMo menu or online checkout the university names.
Admission form and voucher scams
- Used or fake vouchers sold cheaply by individuals.
- "I will fill your form for you" agents who keep your login and then demand more money.
- Fake portals that copy a university's look but are not on its .edu.gh website.
- "Guaranteed admission" or "protocol list" offers, whatever your grades.
- Fake admission letters that cannot be found on the portal. Read how to verify an admission letter.
Tips before you apply
- Check your WASSCE results and cut-off points before buying a form.
- Use your own email and phone number, and keep your voucher PIN private.
- Pay fees only into official university accounts.
- Check any agent's number on TrustCheck before paying.
