E-Levy
The E-Levy was abolished from 2 April 2025, when Parliament repealed the Electronic Transfer Levy Acts and the GRA told providers to stop charging it. There is no replacement levy on MoMo transfers as of October 2026. Source
Keep your MoMo safe
- Never share your MoMo PIN or a code sent to your phone, even with someone claiming to be from your network.
- "I sent money to your number by mistake" calls are a scam: real reversals go through your network, not the caller.
- Check the name shown before you confirm a transfer. Check a number for scam reports
