Bank of Ghana warns of PIN/OTP theft and 'double-your-money' schemes

The Bank of Ghana cautioned the public against fraudsters seeking Mobile Money and ATM PINs, passwords and one-time codes, and against 'double-your-money' and online Ponzi schemes promising high returns with little risk. It said legitimate banks and mobile money operators will not ask for these details by phone, text, email or social media. Report suspected fraud, unauthorised transactions or SIM swaps to your bank or network operator immediately.
