Short answer: No. trustcheck.club is not TrustCheckApp.com. We are TrustCheckApp.com, a free Ghanaian website and home-screen app that helps you check before you pay. If you see a charge from trustcheck.club, TrustCheckApp.com did not send it and cannot cancel it. Your bank or MoMo provider is the first place to call.
Why the names look the same
The two names are close, so it is easy to mix them up when a charge appears on your statement. Look at the full web address. We are TrustCheckApp.com. The other site is trustcheck.club, a separate company that is not connected to us. Do not click links in messages that promise to fix a charge from either one, because those links are often used by scammers.
What TrustCheckApp.com actually charges
So you can compare with your statement, here is what TrustCheckApp.com charges for:
- Investigating a phone number by hand: the first report per person is free. After that it is GH₵20 by MoMo, refunded if nothing useful is found.
- Business Pro plans: Basic at GH₵49 and Premium at GH₵99 a month, paid through Paystack.
Reading TrustCheckApp.com is open to everyone, and sign-up is free. If your statement shows a trial or a monthly debit that does not match these, it did not come from TrustCheckApp.com's own pricing, so check the merchant name carefully.
How to read your statement
- Open your bank app or MoMo history and find the charge. Note the date, the amount in GH₵ or dollars, and the name shown.
- Look for a pattern. A small first charge followed by a bigger one on a later date is a common subscription trap.
- Search your email for the site name and the words receipt or subscription. Save any confirmation you find.
- Take a screenshot before anything changes. You will need it.
What to do if trustcheck.club charged you
- Call or message your bank, or your MoMo provider. Say you did not authorise the charge from trustcheck.club and ask them to block further debits from that merchant if they can.
- If it was a card payment, ask your bank about a dispute, sometimes called a chargeback. Ask what evidence they need and keep the reference number they give you.
- Look for a cancel or turn-off-renewal option in the account you made on that site. Save any cancellation confirmation you receive.
- Write everything down: dates, amounts, what you signed up for and every message you got from them.
We cannot promise a refund, and we cannot say what trustcheck.club will do. The decision sits with your bank, your provider or the other business.
Warning signs to stop and check
- Anyone who says they can get your money back for a fee, paid by MoMo or card.
- Requests for your PIN, OTP code or full card details. Never share these. Nobody needs your PIN to process a refund.
- Messages saying TrustCheckApp.com will cancel your subscription for you. TrustCheckApp.com cannot cancel charges made to another website.
If you have lost money
If money is gone and you think it was a scam, contact your bank or MoMo provider straight away. You can also report it to the Ghana Police Cybercrime Unit, or call the Cyber Security Authority on 292. Keep your screenshots and reference numbers ready.
Before you sign up anywhere next time
- Read the terms for what happens after a trial ends, and look for the renewal date and the amount.
- Screenshot the sign-up page and the price shown at that moment.
- Set a reminder a few days before any trial ends so you can cancel in time.
- Use a payment method with a clear limit so one unexpected debit cannot empty your account.
How TrustCheckApp.com can help
Before you pay a new website, check the website or number on TrustCheckApp.com to see what reports exist. If you have a MoMo message you are not sure about, use Is this MoMo message real? to see its warning signs. You can also follow the latest official warnings on Scam Watch.
If you are still stuck after your bank or provider has looked at it, you can send a support ticket to the TrustCheck team. A person will look at it, but we cannot cancel or refund charges made by another site.
